At Pages & Print like all other bookstores we must grade the items – this assists us in pricing correctly and you as the customer know exactly what you are getting.. Feel free to ask questions about any item that we sell.
Book Grades
- Like New – Pristine condition
- Excellent – No printing or marks, binding tight, cover glossy, very lightly used
- Good – May have a name inside, cover may have slight bends, may have a remainder mark or former bookstore stamp. binding tight, average use. Average in every way.
- Fair/Acceptable – May have name inside and some writing (no text is obscured), heavy wear from reading, binding still tight, deep creases in spine, bumped edges. Book is still a good read but not the best looking.
Pattern Grades
- Uncut and still in Factory Folds
- Uncut looks like it may have been taken out and then re-folded – has been checked for completeness
- Trimmed or Partially Trimmed – has been checked for completeness
- Trimmed and Incomplete – missing pieces are noted -these patterns are all in the Bargain Basement
Remember patterns are often stuffed in drawers at the retailer and as a result pattern envelope covers get bumped. Any extreme pattern envelope conditions will be noted in our descriptions
All other items, catalogs, magazines, menus will state any condition issues in their descriptions
